Day 10 Tuesday 30th
August Hannover Zoo On Monday our team was in the Hannover Zoo. It was very big and
beautiful. There were a lot of animals: elephants, monkeys, tigers,
kangaroos... There were also many beautiful places where you can eat and
relax. I like the souvenirs (postcards, toy animals, magnets...) too. First we had a boat trip. We saw giraffes, rhinos, flamingos, zebras,
goats and a lot of ducks there. The trip was not so long but nice. Then we had free time and I went the zone “Africa”. There were 5
zones: “Africa”, “India”, “Australia”, “Alaska”, and “England”. In every zone
there were typical animals and views. In “Africa” I saw also strauses, hippos,
monkeys, lions, lemurs and some birds.
The boat trip was in “Africa” too. The second zone we visited was “Alaska”. There we saw wolves, bisons,
owls and deer: typically North-American animals. In the swimming-pool seals,
polar bears, pinguins and fish swam. We watched their “concerts” too. I took
part in the competition where people washed the gold from the sand. I won the
gold medal. Then we visited “India”. I saw a lot of elephants and tigers there. In
“Australia” there were the kangaroos and strauses. I especially like “England”. It looked like a real country. There were
a lot of lonely hills, green fields, deep lakes... We saw very nice sheep,
snowhite geese, happy horses, tired cows, gracious vultures. At the end I bought some souvenirs to remember the day I was in the
Hannover Zoo. And I’ll nevel forget it! Sergey
