Day 3 Tuesday 23rd
August
Meeting with principal Mr. Kretschmer, walk through part of Hildesheim
(to be continoued), meeting in town hall with major Mr. Palandt. On Wednesday we had a meeting with a principal of the
Robert-Bosch-Comprehensive school. Mr. Kretschmer told us about the
foundation of Hildesheim. We didn’t know that this town is so old, more than
1000 years! After that the principal showed us the town. We saw a cathedral
that is protected by Unesco and mini copy of the town. Thanks to Mr.
Kretschmer we could learn a lot about the history of Hildeshaim. After a short walk through the city with the headmaster of the school
we reached the town hall. There a major was waiting for us (one of three). How
were our feelings? A bit nervous! But it doesn’t matter. In a few minutes we saw a nice man
in red trousers. He gave us a very wide smile. Have you ever seen a major in
red trousers? We have! Some warm words about happyness with our visit and we
were (of course with the major) standing near the historical door of the town
hall (the only one that was saved after a fire!) smiling to the camera. After
a couple of photos and glass of juice and we were on our way to home. Katya
